Love is Sweet
I'm always looking for fun, creative, new ways to photograph engagement/wedding rings. I think of the couple and I try to have their ring shot symbolize something to them. For this photo we spent their engagement session just having fun at the fair. The couple is light, care-free, and so sweet - just like cotton candy.

Time
I find it fascinating how we don't notice time; until we freeze it with a photograph. The little, pure, chubby hand of the boy vs. his grandpas warm, strong, wise hand. I wanted to showcase how hands can tell a story, tell time.

The Little Things
I shot this photo at the Commodore in Kamloops BC. What I love about this photo is you don't have to always go somewhere scenic for your engagement session. We thought how fun would it be just to go get a glass of wine, chat, and enjoy the little things.

Heatin' up the Lake
I've always wanted to do an engagement session in the water, but I've been waiting for the perfect couple that would want to brave the cool waters of Kamloops lake. This couple needed no direction. They embraced my crazy idea and just went for it! But we may have had a little laugh when they fell on their way in....

Foggy Days
The fog in this image is symbolic to the fact that life as a mother isn't always sunny with flowers and butterflies. It can sometimes be foggy and unclear, but a mother's love for her child is never faded, or cloudy. So no matter what the days may throw your way; to focus on what's looking up to you. 

Plus..doesn't the fog make for such a cool backdrop?!
